Good News for 2019….
The HRCR are pleased to announce a major overhaul to their current stage championships.
To reflect the increasing success and number of competitors The Mini Sport Cup, in its tenth year, will now become a stand-alone championship, probably the biggest single-model historic championship in the world.
The championship will consist of eight rounds with a revised calendar reflecting consultation with this year’s competitors. An extra round has been added to the challenge for entrants to create a European wide calendar.
There is no doubt the popularity of the series is a big draw for organisers with both marshals and spectators wanting to see the little ‘pocket rockets’ on the stages.
The West Wales Rally Spares HRCR Stage Masters Challenge has also been radically revamped and will now include 11 rounds including two fly-away European Rounds with the best 6 results to count.
This will give competitors a truly demanding mix of events spread throughout the calendar with opportunities for both gravel and asphalt specialists.
Category One cars will also be catered for in the revised Old Stager Championship, keen to make sure that owners of these cars take advantage of the new road running rules for UK events. This will be a mixed championship with several rounds in the forest and on the best closed road events we can find.
