Continuing to introduce you to the drivers and co-drivers in our 2017 Mini Sport Mini Cup, and following on from rally beginner Andy Walkingshaw last week, we have seasoned rally veteran Ray Cunningham!
Travelling all the way from Galway Ireland, this is Ray’s first time competing in the HRCR ‘oldSTAGER’ Mini Sport Mini Cup.
Although Ray is no stranger to rallying, with over 30 years experience, his very first event was auto testing in a Mini back in the mid 80’s!
A massive Mini fan himself, Ray has gone on to say that his second ever road car was a 1966 Mk1 Mini and he’s “never looked back”!
With National titles in Auto Cross, and wins in Minis at Killarney Historic and the RAC Historic under his belt, and having just won the second round – Dixies Historic Challenge – will Ray and his co-driver Jared Gill be the ones to steal current Mini Sport Mini Cup Champions Clive King and Anton Bird’s crown?
