Continuing to introduce you to the drivers and co-drivers in our 2017 Mini Sport Mini Cup, and following on from Andy Walkingshaw, Ray Cunningham, Louise Thomas, Rhodri Owen Roberts, Jim Brindle, Andrew O’Hanlon and Clive King, we have Jack Hartley!
At just 17, Jack Hartley is our youngest competitor of the 2017 Mini Sport Mini Cup, however having about 10 years driving experience behind him, in thanks much part to his dad and uncle, Jack is certainly going to be a name to remember in the future of rallying!
Jack has previously competed in the Junior Formula 1000 for the past two years, this will be his first time competing in a Mini and he will even have Mini Sport’s very own seasoned rally veteran John Cressey as his co-driver during the Solway Coast stages this weekend!
Even though Jack has been driving for many years, he’s only had his license for a few short weeks, having passed just 16 days (four lessons) after his 17th Birthday!
Well done Jack! Will these obvious driving skills transfer and secure his first major win in a rallying Championship? Only time will tell…
