The start of a new year always marks the arrival of the British Mini Club’s Mini Fair at Bingley Hall, which for 2016 marks the 17th anniversary of our favourite indoor winter event. Mini Fair has grown to become recognised as one of Britain’s most well-established and well-organised National Mini Events with over 6,000 square meters of exhibition space displaying some of the finest Classic Mini’s in the renowned Pride of Ownership competition, with iconic models from across five decades – an absolute must for all Mini enthusiasts!
This year, Mini Sport will once again be the official sponsors of the annual British Mini Club event and will be there on the day with our comprehensive trade stand which features a vast selection of Classic Mini parts and components, with everything available to complete your winter restoration project, enhance your Mini’s performance or accentuate your Mini’s style. We also stock accessories & merchandise from brands like the Cooper Car Company and Paddy Hopkirk Mini and will be launching some exciting new products on the day, exclusively to Mini Fair attendees. As part of our trade service, we will be offering our popular ‘Click & Collect’ service in advance, in which you can browse our comprehensive website and pre-order your shopping, collecting for free at show and avoiding delivery costs – ideal for larger items.
For the 17th anniversary of the Mini Fair, we will be accompanied by motoring hero and good friend Paddy Hopkirk who has recently made the Queen’s New Year Honours list and will be awarded, a well deserved MBE in 2016 for his services to motoring and young people (Read more about Paddy & his MBE here). Paddy will be meeting & greeting all fans at our trade stand, signing merchandise and memorabilia and collecting donations for his worthwhile charity organisations with the sale of his specialist Classic Mini Parts, Paddy Hopkirk Mini – so be sure to come pay us a visit!
As always, we will be bringing along some exceptional examples of Classic Mini’s, which will be exhibited on our stand – this will include the iconic 33EJB replica owned by Paddy Hopkirk and maintained by Mini Sport. The 33EJB replica is an exact imitation of Paddy’s 1964 Monte Carlo winning Mini Cooper S, built to the original specification of the legendary Mini Cooper now displayed at Gaydon Heritage Motor Centre. In addition, Mini Sport sponsored Rally driver, Clive King will be bringing along his genuine 1964 Cooper S, completely restored to championship standard, recently taking a H1 Class Win at the ‘Rally of Legends’, Wales Rally GB 2015 – backed by Mini Sport.
If you’re thinking of getting involved in Motorsport this year, be sure to come have a chat with a member of the Mini Sport team, who will be happy to discuss the returning Mini Sport Mini Cup, as part of the HRCR’s ‘Old Stager’ historic rally championship. The Mini Sport Mini Cup will be back for it’s second year with the addition of a new class which enables all Mini’s built up to the end of production, that do not comply with the historic regulations to be eligible in this category of the championship. The Mini Fair welcomes Mini Clubs from across the country to join on the day with themed club stands and project cars on show.This year, the very popular win a ‘Mini for £1’ competition will return with the opportunity to purchase a raffle ticket and win a classic Mini on the day!
There’s still time to purchase tickets for the day here with full day tickets available to pre-book for just £10 or £12.00 on the day, children under 12 can come for free when accompanied by an adult. Mini Fair at Bingley Hall is a Mini event organised by Mini owners for Mini owners and with Mini Sport as the official sponsors, working alongside British Mini Club again, we can promise once again, that the first Mini Show of 2016 will certainly be unforgettable!
