Mini Sport are proud to announce the sponsorship of Dave Drew for the 2018 Mini Miglia Challenge!
Established as a crowd favourite all the way back in 1966, the Mini Se7en/Miglia racing challenge takes place over some of the most iconic race tracks in the country, with teams even travelling to Zandvoort, in the Netherlands, for two rounds this year! Mini 7 state that the Mini Miglia’s, often considered to be the option for the more experienced racer, compete with “a modified 1293cc A Series engine, the 660kg Mini is propelled from 0-60 in about 4.5 seconds and onto a top speed of around 125mph“, setting a level playing field, and making for a truly exciting competition as drivers showcase their talent to reach pole position.
Dave Drew will once again be sponsored by Mini Sport, and will be sporting our livery, as he takes on all 15 rounds of the Challenge, starting out with rounds 1 & 2 at Pembrey on the 21st April, this weekend!
Dave had this to add, “I’m very humbled to still fly the flag for Chris and Mini Sport on all the prestigious race circuits across the country.” Having had a very successful 2017 campaign finishing the Challenge 3rd overall and proudly taking home the 2017 award for the Best Prepared Miglia! Dave had consistently great results throughout the season, it was only due to two truly unfortunate crankshaft failures that ultimately cost Dave the Championship, resulting in being 2 points short of 2nd. However, issues fixed… Dave is back and ready to push to victory!
