Mini Girls Rally Team – Dixies Historic Challenge 30th April 2017
Well what a Fantastic time we had!!
It was a long journey to the Epynt Ranges in south Wales, 1126miles round trip door to door, but well worth every minute!!
Our first rally and we are both very happy with the result, and the support we got from fellow competitors and Marshals was just fantastic. The event was very different from our only other event together which is Mull Rally, Dixies was fast smooth tarmac with some scary crests into very tight bends and interesting chicanes which we have learned in a mini are Flat!!
The weather was mostly dry until later on in the day, when we had some rain. The car was faultless, in service, Splash and Dash!! The only thing that was change was a small adjustment to give us more power on the straights.
Our confidence started to grow as the day went on, we made it to the finish with the car still in one piece, and we enjoyed every minute, and we did pick up a little scenery along the way!
Seat time is so important, and with nothing since Mull in October last year! We are a very happy team. We finished 65 overall and 13th in class.

We are very positive about our next rally on 2nd July, Mid-Summer Stages Caerwent, South Wales, which is an even longer journey.
I would like to thank firstly Emily for doing such a great job on the notes, our Service Crew – Michael Anderson, Dave Thomas, Alistair and Sam Scarlett, and Ben Anderson for coming to our rescue with a slight watch issue.
