So 2017 got off to a great start this year with the annual British Mini Club’s ‘Mini Fair’ proving to be a great success for all who attended. This year marked the 18th anniversary of the well-established show and a great turnout of enthusiasts from across the country ensured that it didn’t disappoint.

As one of the dedicated sponsors of Mini Fair and the British Mini Club, our team went down to the show and set-up our huge trade stand with a wide range of parts and accessories for sale, including our exclusive Paddy Hopkirk and Cooper Car Company ranges! This year we also took along a few special guests, on the Mini Sport Mini Cup stand we had non other than the 2016 champion Clive King and his Mini along with fellow competitors Peter Ellerby and Shane Gamble, we also had an exciting demonstration set up from GaugePilot who will be coming to Mini Sport very soon.

Perhaps the most iconic special guest of all… ’64 Monte winner and all round rallying legend Paddy Hopkirk MBE, who was doing an exclusive signing on our stand in aid of IAM Roadsmart – the UK’s largest independent road safety charity – where a grand total of £600 was raised!

This year we were once again delighted to offer our highly successful ‘Click and Collect’ service for customers who wanted to purchase online and avoid postage costs by collecting their package from our stand at the show. This was a great initiative for all of our loyal customers and we intend to do this throughout the following year of shows.

Mini Fair still holds the title as the largest indoor Mini event in Britain, and so offers great exhibition space for an eclectic range of Mini models. We were able to see a whole host of cars that had been restored and re-built by enthusiasts at home using Mini Sport parts to modify and enhance their Mini. The competition was exceptionally tough this year for judging and the displays were broken down into 7 categories which included Classic Minis from the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s and Best in the Show, amongst others.

We all had a superb time and Mini Fair 2017 undoubtedly exceeded all of our expectations. A fantastic, well-run, British Mini Club event which we, at Mini Sport are very proud to be associated with – not only as a trader but as an official sponsor too. The show offered a perfect opportunity to showcase all of the quality parts that keep our beloved Mini’s on the road. Parts which are not only supplied by us at Mini Sport but manufactured exclusively within our adept engineering department right here in Padiham.

You can check out the list of Winners over on the British Mini Club’s website. Finally, a big thank you to all the customers who paid us a visit at our stand, it’s always a pleasure to see you and we look forward to helping you with all your Mini needs throughout the coming year.

Can’t wait to see you again at the next show!
