Dear Competitors,
First may I wish you all a very happy New Year. With the HRCR Open Day at Gaydon now only a few days away, preparations to kick off a new season of historic rallying are nearly complete. For those of you who are planning to come to Gaydon on Saturday the event Opens at around 10.00 am and closes around 3.00 pm. From 11.00 to 12.00 there is a meeting planned in one of the conference rooms for the old STAGER and Mini Sport Cup competitors, organisers and sponsors. There will be an announcement about 10 minutes before the meeting starts.
Most of the 2018 event organisers are planning to attend the show including the new events, the Abingdon Car-nival, Hall Trophy and Tour of Flanders so please take the opportunity to have a chat with them.
To ease the signing on process this year could you please make sure your HRCR Membership is up to date first before going to the old STAGER Championship signing on desk which is in the same place as last year close to the reception/HRCR Membership desk. Also to save time I have attached the 2018 registration form so you can download and print a copy to fill in before you arrive. Quickest way to pay at the Open day will be either cash or cheque as the link for credit card payments can be a little slow. If you are not able to go to the Open Day then you can register on-line through the HRCR website old STAGER page. We have also posted the 2018 regulations and events calendar on the website. Registration cards and an acknowledgement that your registration has been accepted will be sent by email and your registration card will be either sent out in the post or you will be able to collect them at signing on for the AGBO.
I’ll not be manning the old STAGER registration desk this year as I am also organising the Open Day so will be on the move most of the time ensuring the event is running smoothly. I’m sure quite a few of you will know Dave and Vi Lucas who have kindly offered to man the registration desk.
Please find attached link to the First Round The Jasperbakeries AGBO Historic Stages Rally on the 17th March. Entries will open on Sunday the 14th January so please get your entry in early, Hopefully the rush for entries will not be as intense as last year now the event has been split into 2 days, one for historics and one for modern cars.

We will also have available at the Open Day a DVD of the 2017 HRCR Mintex Championship and Mini Sport Mini Cup produced by Sideways Media. They will be available from the old STAGER registration desk for £19.95 cash only please. Let Dave and Vi know if you pre-ordered a copy through Clive, Rob or myself.
