Taking place at Castle Coombs Circuit in Chippenham, Wiltshire, on Saturday 28th September, Mini Action Day 2019 is the ideal event to celebrate the 60th birthday of the Classic Mini with all of the family. Sponsored by Mini Sport, the annual event (now in its 27th year) will see a plethora of Mini specialists attend with their cars from across the UK. This allows attendees an opportunity not just to view classic models in action, get advice on improving their own but also to join in with the revelry as part of the classic Mini community.
Mini Specialists At Mini Action Day 2019
A large portion of the show is the ‘Top 60 Cars’ section in which we, as main sponsors, have been charged with selecting the best Mini’s to take part in a special display to celebrate the 60th birthday. It hasn’t been easy, let us tell you! Check out all of the restored, reimagined and customised Mini Cooper’s, Mini GT’s, Mini Vans and the rest of the entries here.
Just a selection of the other events held on the day include:
- Club displays – Enjoy seeing hundreds (maybe even over a thousand!) Minis on display in the paddock area of the circuit. Alongside the many exhibitors, our own Mini specialists will have a wonderful selection of Minis from the Cooper register on display – with plenty of exclusive show-only special offers.
- Mini-only parking sections – If you’re the proud owner of a Mini but aren’t part of a club, you can still be a part of the Mini Action Day show! You simply need to purchase an individual display pass for exclusive access to display your car (the pass will admit car and driver only).
- Track action – You can’t have a classic car show at a racing circuit and not have them put on a show for the enthusiasts! Open to all shapes and sizes of Mini, there are dedicated sessions for various model types – so be sure to head to the viewing areas on the day to catch them all in action.
- Charity passenger rides – If you particularly enjoy the thrilling feeling of the Mini at its absolute racing best, Bill Richards and the Mighty Minis are offering white-knuckle passenger rides for a charitable donation. Simply head to their stand on the day to book. If you dare.
Castle Coombs can be accessed via the B4039, by following the brown tourist signs (with chequered flag), from either Junction 17 or Junction 18 of the M4. The site is open from 9am and closes at 5pm.
Tickets for the event can be purchased in advance from the Castle Coombs Circuit website – priced at £12, saving you 25% on the on-the-day price of £20. With the Mini Action Day being an event for all of the family to enjoy, under-17’s entry is FREE!
